About

Invest AD (Abu Dhabi Investment Company) is a UAE-based investment company. It was founded as one of the first financial services companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Investment by the Abu Dhabi government occurs via four main organizations: the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Abu Dhabi Investment Council, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Company (ADIC). In June 2009, ADIC changed its name to Invest AD in a bid to increase international and local investment in the region. Invest AD is a financial services company offering institutional investors access to high-growth opportunities in frontier and emerging markets, with emphasis on Africa and the Middle East. Invest AD co-manages the SBI Invest AD Africa Fund together with SBI Group. The fund, launched in early 2011, will focus on growth markets in North Africa. It will invest in a variety of industries, including banking, mining, consumer products and manufacturing.
