International Monetary Fund Retirement Plan

International Monetary Fund is an international organization of different countries to promote international monetary cooperation, exchange stability, and orderly exchange arrangements; to foster economic growth and high levels of employment, and to provide temporary financial assistance to countries to ease balance of payments adjustment. IMF has a defined benefit Staff Retirement Plan that covers substantially all eligible staff and a Supplemental Retirement Benefits Plan for selected participants of SRP. Participants contribute a percentage of their pensionable gross remuneration and the IMF contributes the remainder of the cost of funding the plans. In addition, IMF provides other employment and post-retirement benefits, including medical, life insurance, and other long-term benefits. In 1995, the IMF established a separate account, the Retired Staff Benefits Investment Account, to hold and invest resources set aside to fund the cost of post-retirement benefits.Read more ⏷
