About

Established in 1920, Great Eastern General Insurance is an insurance company based in Singapore. It was formerly known as Overseas Assurance Corporation (OAC). In December 2000, following the merger of OAC Singapore and Great Eastern Life Assurance, OAC Malaysia became a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Eastern Holdings Group. In August 2017, OAC transferred its life insurance business to Great Eastern Life Assurance and was rebranded as Great Eastern General Insurance.
