FLAG Squadron Asia

FLAG Squadron Asia, formerly known as Squadron Capital, was an Asia-Pacific-focused private equity investment firm that, on behalf of its clients, constructed and managed portfolios of private equity funds and co-investments across the region. The firm had a large, long standing team on the ground in Asia that had been investing in the region since 2000, helping investors to access difficult-to-reach sectors and geographies to maximize returns. FLAG Squadron Asia was a subsidiary of FLAG Capital Management ('FLAG'), an independently-owned private capital investment management firm founded in 1994. With about USD 7 billion in client commitments since inception, FLAG provided global solutions in private equity, venture capital, energy/resources and real estate to meet the specific needs, preferences and resources of its investors. FLAG managed capital for a diversified client base including private and public retirement plans, endowments, foundations and ultra-high net worth individuals worldwide, with over 60 professionals globally across three offices. In September 2015, FLAG Capital Management was acquired by Aberdeen Asset Management. FLAG Squadron Asia was also acquired as pat of the deal and all of its funds were transferred to Aberdeen Private Equity.Read more ⏷
