The entity provides complementary retirement and pension benefits to eligible employees and beneficiaries primarily associated with Souza Cruz (BAT Brasil), as well as the foundation’s own staff. Souza Cruz, now operating under the name BAT Brasil, is a Brazilian tobacco company that serves as the local subsidiary of British American Tobacco (BAT), with operations focused on the production and distribution of cigarette products in Brazil.
