Employees Retirement System of the City of St. Louis was established under the authority of Senate Bill No. 329 of the 70th General Assembly of the State of Missouri. The system is a cost-sharing, multiple-employer, defined benefit public employees’ retirement system for all non-uniformed employees of the City of St. Louis and certain other public entities funded by or providing services to the residents of the City. It provides defined benefit payments for retirement, death, and disability to eligible employees and their beneficiaries.
