EDS Retirement Plan — overview

About

EDS Retirement Plan is a defined benefit plan that provides retirement and death benefits for all eligible employees of the principal employer. EDS has several qualified and non-qualified pension plans covering all its employees. The majority of the plans are non-contributory. In general, employees become fully vested upon attaining two to five years of service, and benefits are based on years of service and earnings. In May 2008, EDS reached a deal with Hewlett-Packard Co, this deal was completed by August 2008. As of September 2009, EDS changed its name to HP Enterprise Services.
