About

David B. Gold Foundation is a family foundation based in San Francisco. It believes that good health, a clean environment, education, and opportunities afforded by a democratic society are the cornerstones individuals build on to maximize their abilities and make beneficial contributions to humanity. Additionally, the Foundation recognizes the unique needs and potential of children and seeks to foster their welfare. In 2016, the foundation transferred all or most of its assets to four successor private foundations, each managed by a former director of the David B. Gold Foundation.
