About

Founded in 1995, Courtland Partners was a consultancy firm focused on advising clients on real estate, and infrastructure fund investments. The majority of assets under advisement are committed to real estate funds, with some also invested in direct real estate assets and the rest committed to infrastructure funds, which some of Courtland’s clients invest in alongside their real estate investments. For its investments in real estate, Courtland Partners looked to cover all strategies and was also open to real estate funds of funds as well as secondary real estate funds. Going forward, it believed real estate debt funds are attractive right now and represent a good investment opportunity. Its infrastructure investments were made in funds focusing on all stages of the asset class; greenfield, brownfield, and secondary stage. They looked at both core and social sectors, and although they have not advised on PPPs yet, they are open to doing so. In general, Courtland Partners considered first-time funds and has invested in them previously. It may conduct extra due diligence on such funds but is open to investing if it feels the opportunity is right. In 2018, Courtland Partners was acquired by StepStone Group.
