About

Established on January 1, 1916, Commonwealth Bank Group Super (CBGS) is a retirement scheme for past and present employees of Commonwealth Bank Group. CBGS provides both defined benefits and accumulation benefits in accordance with its Trust Deed and Rules. The fund offers superannuation and benefit plans, including death and permanent disability insurance cover, for its members. Prior to 28 May 2012, the superannuation scheme was known as the Officers' Superannuation Fund. In February 2023, CBGS announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding to explore a merger with Australian Retirement Trust. As of November 2023, CBGS has successfully transferred to ART.
