Co-operative Pace Pension Scheme is a private sector pension fund based in Manchester, UK. The private pension fund is an occupational pension scheme for employees of the Co-operative Group. Pace Trustees Ltd is appointed by the Co-op as the Trustee to manage the Scheme. The private sector pension fund comprises a defined benefit (DB) scheme and a defined contribution (DC) scheme. In 2006, the Co-operative Pace Pension Scheme replaced three of the Co-operative Group's other pension schemes (the ‘Former Schemes’) whose assets and liabilities were transferred to the Co-operative Pace Pension Scheme. The Former Schemes are the Co-operative Group (CWS) Limited Pension Fund, The Co-operative Bank Pension Scheme, and the CIS Employees’ Pension Scheme.
