Clear Spring Insurance, previously known as Lackawanna Casualty Company, is a Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Specialist writing business exclusively in the State of Pennsylvania and focusing exclusively on workers’ compensation insurance. It is a subsidiary of Delaware Life Insurance Company and its parent company, Group1001. On April 1, 2019, Lackawanna Casualty Company was acquired by Group1001. This acquisition will enable Group1001 to expand its Clear Spring Insurance brand of insurance companies. After this acquisition, Lackawanna Insurance Group will continue to operate out of its current Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania offices.
