About

City of Fresno Retirement Systems comprises the Fire and Police Retirement System (FPRS) and the Employees Retirement System (ERS). The FPRS was established in 1955 to provide retirement benefits to all full-time sworn safety members of the City of Fresno. The ERS, on the other hand provides benefits to the non-safety employees of the city. Each system has its own five-member Board of Administration but is under one Retirement Administrator and ultimately comes under the overall authority of the City of Fresno Retirement Systems.
