About

City of Fort Lauderdale Police & Fire Retirement System is a single-employer defined benefit pension plan for firefighters and police officers employed by the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was established under the provisions and requirements of Ordinance No. C-72-94. The City of Fort Lauderdale Firefighter’s Supplemental Share Plan, a defined contribution plan, created to implement the provisions of Chapter 175, Florida Statutes, was combined with the retirement system.
