It was previously known as the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Pension Fund. The Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council is an affiliate of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC) and represents workers across the construction and maintenance industries in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and eastern Iowa. The council was formed in 2021 following the merger of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters and the St. Louis–Kansas City Carpenters Regional Council.
