Cambridgeshire County Council Pension Fund

Cambridgeshire County Council Pension Fund is a public pension fund headquartered in Cambridgeshire, UK. It is administered by LGSS Pensions Service as the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for local authority employees of Cambridgeshire County Council. In October 2010, LGSS Pensions Service was established to set up a partnership between Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire County Councils. LGSS manages the assets of Cambridgeshire County Council Pension Fund, and <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/5099>Northamptonshire County Council Pension Fund</a>. In July 2015, the UK government announced that it would work with the Local Government Pension Schemes to reform the way investments are managed. As part of the reform, the government ordered the 91 LGPS' to combine assets into large investment pools. Cambridgeshire County Council Pension Fund started transitioning assets to the collective investment pool, <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/272381>ACCESS</a>, in April 2018. As of September 2024, it had transitioned almost 90% of its assets to the pool. In April 2025, ACCESS' pooling proposals were rejected by the government during its 'Fit for the Future' consultation. As a result, the pool and its constituent pension funds were invited to merge with other pools. In August 2025, ACCESS announced that it would disband, and its constituent pension funds were expected to join other pools. Cambridgeshire County Council Pension Fund planned to join the <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/272393>Border to Coast</a> pool by April 2026. Read more ⏷
