About
The groups Caisses D’Epargne and Banques Populaires merged in 2009 to form Groupe BPCE, the second largest French banking group. La Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne (CNCE), part of the Caisses D’Epargne group, is the head of a group of some 35 government-owned, not-for-profit savings banks located in France and the French territories of Guadeloupe, Martinique, and New Caledonia. After restructuring, La Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne (CNCE) functions as a central bank to a network of more than 4,700 branches. Specialized subsidiaries offer collective investments, insurance, and leasing.
