Established in 2008, Bandhan Life Insurance is an insurance company based in India. Initially known as AEGON Religare Life Insurance, the company was formed as a joint venture between the global insurance giant AEGON and Bennett, Coleman, and Company, a leading Indian media conglomerate. In December 2015, following the exit of Religare, the company was rebranded as Aegon Life Insurance before eventually becoming Bandhan Life Insurance.
