About

Banco Mare Nostrum was a large Spanish banking group created in 2010 from the merger of four Spanish savings banks, Sa Nostra, Caja Murcia, Caixa Penedès, and Caja Granada. It operated a network of 1,545 branches in the Mediterranean Arc, as well as 1,703 branches in Spain. In January 2018, the banking group was acquired by Bankia. In 2021, Bankia merged with Caxia to form CaxiaBankia.
