About

Founded in 1988, Aurora Investment Management was a Chicago-based fund of hedge funds manager which sought to identify managers that were skilled in a particular niche or market segment in order to outperform wider market trends. The firm believed such opportunities arose from imbalances in supply and demand, event driven investments that were misunderstood outside the mandate of investors, macroeconomic trends and fundamental analysis of securities which were deemed to be overvalued or undervalued. The firm shut down in Q2 2016 and is no longer active.
