About

Established in 2009, Athene Asset Management (AAM) is based in Los Angeles and manages assets for the Athene Group companies and third-party insurance companies. AAM is a value-oriented investor and is focused on the fixed income markets. In January 2022, Athene merged with Apollo Global Management, Inc. As a result, the firm has now two principal subsidiaries: Apollo Asset Management, an alternative asset management business, and Athene, a retirement services business.
