About

Established in 1973, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) is committed to the development of economic infrastructure in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Its activities initially involved developing, promoting, and managing industrial estates. It has since diversified its activities and now its main functions include the acquisition of land at potential industrial centers and developing them with basic infrastructures such as roads, power, water, construction of sheds, and housing for industrial workers. It also carries out key roles negotiating with other agencies for social infrastructures such as telecommunications, banks, and transport. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has entrusted certain local authority powers to APIIC like collection of property tax and the maintenance of common facilities in respect of certain industrial estates and industrial development areas. APIIC has so far acquired nearly 30,000 acres of land, constructed 3404 sheds and 4783 industrial housing units.
