About

Established in 1849, AMP Capital Investors (AMPCI) is an asset manager based in Australia. It operates as the investment management arm of AMP Society. It is one of AMP’s seven business units. The asset manager caters to both retail and institutional investors, offering suitable investment opportunities through research and its global network. AMPCI has a strategic business and capital alliance with Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (MUTB). As part of the alliance, MUTB holds a certain percentage ownership interest in AMPCI. In 2021, AMP announced a plan to demerge the AMP Capital Private Markets business. AMP also announced the sale of its Infrastructure Debt business in December 2021. AMP Capital is transforming, separating its public markets capabilities to focus on its private markets businesses of Infrastructure Equity and Real Estate. These businesses are being separated from AMP Group and will be listed on the ASX as Collimate Capital as a separate entity in 2022.
