American Family Pension Plan is a private sector pension fund based in Madison, Wisconsin, which American Family Mutual Insurance Company, S.I., contributes such amounts as are necessary on an actuarial basis to provide the Plan with assets sufficient to meet benefits to be paid to plan participants. It covers employees of AFMICSI who have attained the age of 21 and completed one year of service. The firm also covers employees of American Family Connect Property and Casualty Insurance Company, Permanent General Companies, Inc., Homesite Group Incorporated, NGM Insurance Company, and AFICS, Inc. The Plan permits early retirement at ages 50-64 with 15 years of service with reduced benefits as specified in the Plan. The plan was created as a result of the merger of two plans, namely American Family Insurance Group Master Retirement Trust and the Retirement Plan for Employees of American Family Mutual Insurance Company.
