Zafiro Capital was a Geneva-based commodity-focused hedge fund manager which was founded by Stephen Smethurst in 2014. Prior to establishing Zafiro, Smethurst was the portfolio manager/managing director for the Black River Commodity Trading Fund from 2011-2014. The firm is currently not trading and is seeking seed investments to restart a discretionary macro or commodities fund. It would also consider running large managed accounts (from $3mn and up).
