Zaaba Capital

Established in Q4 of 2015, Zaaba Capital (Zaaba) is a Hong Kong-based hedge fund manager. Zaaba is a Pan Asian fundamental long/short strategy investing across equities and credit. The manager invests across India, Greater China, Japan, ASEAN, and other markets that include South Korea & Australia. The investment process is built on deep fundamental company-level research. Macroeconomic analysis is an important influencer but one of many inputs that drive single name selection. Zaaba aims to generate equity-like returns with equity and credit subject to the same return thresholds. Mohan Rajasooria is the CIO of Zaaba Capital. Prior to setting up Zaaba, he was a founding partner at Azentus Capital, an Asian multi-strategy hedge fund, and prior to that was a managing director at Goldman Sachs in its Principal Strategies group. He has also held a senior investment role at the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund, Khazanah Nasional, and started his career at McKinsey Company in 1997. Mohan was born in Malaysia and educated at Imperial College, London, and Harvard Business School.Read more ⏷
