Wood Creek acquired assets, both directly and in partnership with operating partners, predominantly in the US and UK. With respect to tangible assets, Wood Creek focused mainly on private "core" capital assets and privately owned infrastructure. The firm was active in telecom infrastructure, intermodal and ground transportation assets, aviation industry assets, farmland and agricultural infrastructure and water. The firm's intangible assets, included copyrights, film and television content, specialty branded and generic pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical royalties and technology patents. In Q3 2016, Babson Capital Management LLC, and its subsidiaries Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers LLC, Wood Creek Capital Management LLC, and Baring Asset Management Limited combined to use the Barings brand.
