Visium Asset Management is a multi-strategy alternative asset manager founded in 2005. The firm manages investments in long/short equity, credit, event-driven and multi-strategy funds. The firm's private equity arm offers financing to biotechnology companies, manufacturers of medical devices and other healthcare businesses by purchasing royalty streams and possibly other assets.
