Ventor Investimentos

Ventor Investimentos ("Ventor") is a hedge fund management firm headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was established in 2006 by proprietary traders from Banco Icatu, a Brazilian-based bank subsequently acquired by Bradesco. Ventor concentrates on integrating micro and macro analysis, conducted by a dedicated team of in-house analysts. The firm manages multiple funds under two primary strategies: macro funds that focus on trading assets such as interest rates, FX, commodities, and equities; and an equity fund, which is value-oriented, but maintains the flexibility to implement long/short positions as the portfolio managers deem appropriate. While Ventor primarily focuses on the Brazilian market, it also has the capability to engage in international markets when promising opportunities are identified. In 2020, the firm integrated two macro funds previously managed by Paineiras Investimentos, following the closure of its operations.
