System 2, a European convertible and credit relative value hedge fund, was established in July 2019 and has navigated various market conditions since its inception. The fund focuses on capital structure relative value opportunities, utilizing nine RV credit and convertible strategies. It aims to capitalize on mispricing's between long and short pairs of securities often referencing the same capital structure. The fund has a well-defined rationale for the existence of temporary mispricing's and the subsequent re-convergence of pricing. Additionally, System 2 maintains a neutral position with regards to credit, equity and rates markets. The investment partners boast over a decade of collective experience. CIO Sean Oldfield, who previously spearheaded Macquarie Public Market Strategies and founded Castle Trust, brings a wealth of knowledge in convertible and credit strategies. COO & CRO Max Veneziani, with a background in leading Goldman Sachs' global derivatives prime brokerage and securities lending EMEA, further strengthens the team's expertise.
