Strategic Vision Investment (SVI) is a long-term investment firm focused on deep-dive fundamental research with a presence across Hong Kong and Mainland China. SVI currently manages two strategies: a Long/Short (long-biased) equity strategy (Value Multiplier Fund) and a long only strategy (SVI Megatrends Equity Strategy). The firm seeks to invest in high-quality companies benefiting from identified structural mega-trends in Greater China that it believes can re-define the future and generate value creation over the next 10 to 20 years (e.g. energy revolution, industry consolidation, new materials, advanced manufacturing, healthcare/biotech, AI (artificial intelligence) revolution, and Cloud/software-as-a-service (SaaS)). It employs a long-term, fundamental approach rooted in deep-dive company research with a stringent set of investment criteria. Through this, it constructs a portfolio of future mega-trend winners with the potential to achieve 2 - 10x value multiples over a 3 - 10-year horizon, with target IRRs of 25 - 35%. Its long/short strategy aims to balance the long book with a short book via portfolio protection mechanisms that allow it to better hold onto its structural long-term holdings. Its portfolio construction aims to expand portfolio returns while mitigating significant market downside risks. SVI was previously known as BosValen Asset Management (BVAM), formed by Ken Xu in 2014.
