On June 9, 2004, St. Paul Venture Capital announced that it would evolve into two independent firms, Split Rock Partners and Vesbridge Partners. Split Rock Partners, headquartered in Minneapolis with an office in Menlo Park, concentrates on healthcare, software and internet services opportunities. Vesbridge Partners, headquartered in Boston, focuses on networking technology and IT infrastructure investments. St. Paul Venture Capital was formerly a captive fund for Split Rock, all of which were held by St. Paul Companies, the insurance group.
