Spring Mountain Capital, established in 2001 by John L. ("Launny") Steffens, is a New York-based firm specializing in managing funds of hedge funds. SMC focuses on alternative asset investments, primarily in hedge funds and private equity funds. SMC is divided into five investment groups: Growth Equity, Total Return, Private Capital, Social Impact, and Municipal Bonds.
