Soundview Capital Management created in 1999, was an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Richcourt, a British Virgin Islands company. The investment approach and the business model used was slightly different from the traditional funds of hedge funds. Soundview Capital Management continuously screened general developments in the money management industry in an attempt to identify the more prominent money managers associated with alternative investment strategies. The funds of funds were managed based on the qualitative judgment of the members of its Allocation Committee and their general knowledge of the hedge fund industry.
