Founded in Q1 of 2001, Snow Capital Management was a Pennsylvania-based employee-owned hedge fund management firm that utilized a fundamental contrarian value approach to investing. The investment philosophy was contrarian and had relative value. A fundamental research process was followed to assemble portfolios of undervalued, out-of-favor stocks that were temporary to intermediate-term difficulties that were eclipsing solid long-term prospects. Investment ideas were sourced across all market capitalization and industries and could have included stocks that were traditionally categorized as growth. The firm has merged with Easterly Investment Partners.
