Formed in 2011, Sequoia Capital Fund Management (SCFM) was a London-based hedge fund manager that pursued a quantitative investment approach to trade a diversified portfolio to achieve consistent, superior, risk-adjusted returns, targeting 15% volatility. The focus of SCFM’s investment process was on short-term systematic strategies in highly liquid markets. Automation of the strategy, risk management, execution & post-trade operations allows for a consistently delivered process. Discretionary oversight was maintained to reduce risk during major economic/political events. A key aspect of the strategy was that it maintains virtually no correlation to any of the main indices and benchmarks in both normal and stressed-market environments.
