Sage Rock Capital Management is a New York-based hedge fund manager founded by Atul Khanna and Matthew Fisher in June 2013. The firm seeks capital appreciation and attractive absolute investment returns, with a primary focus on event driven and special situations investments in public equities, including SPACs. Prior to founding, Mr. Khanna and Mr. Fisher both worked at Rockbay Capital, the firm Mr. Khanna founded in 2001. Between 2010 and 2012, Mr. Khanna and Mr. Fisher then managed FrontPoint Rockbay Event Driven Fund, which grew to $280mn in AUM before FrontPoint Partners shut down its hedge fund platform.
