Ridge Capital is an independent alternative asset management firm based in Stockholm, founded in December 2022. The firm specializes in actively managing a focused portfolio of around sixty Northern European high-yield bonds, with a particular emphasis on uncovering opportunities within this credit market. Leveraging deep regional expertise and a disciplined, innovative investment approach, Ridge Capital has achieved the strongest track record in its segment since its inception in January 2023. In 2024, the firm received the EuroHedge Award in the Fixed Income category (net performance +24.9%, Sharpe ratio 7.4, volatility 2.3%) as well as The Hedge Fund Journal Award for Best Performing Nordic High Yield Fund 2024 and over 2 Years. Its larger-than-usual investment team, all focusing their time on one fund and comprising five fund managers and analysts—generates alpha from four main sources: 1. Performing credit opportunities in the primary and secondary markets 2. Event-driven opportunities in the secondary market 3. Other special situations such as underwriting in the primary market 4. Moderate structural leverage (1.5x, used exclusively to reduce credit risk) and hedging against tail-risk events The firm operates through a monthly traded Luxembourg RAIF, allowing for flexibility and an ability to turn market challenges into investment opportunities.
