Founded in 2008 by Cesar Paiva, Real Investor Gestão de Recursos (Real Investor) is an independent investment management firm located in Londrina (PR), Brazil. Its name was inspired by the book "The Intelligent Investor", written by Benjamin Graham, and the firm specializes in long-term value investing instead of short-term market speculations. Its investment process consists of careful fundamental analysis of individual equities targeting to identify companies that are trading in discrepancy with its intrinsic value. The firm recently incepted a hedge fund, which utilizes primarily an equity market neutral strategy, seeking to obtain gains both in long and short positions, as well as having the flexibility to trade other asset classes.
