Prolific Capital Markets is a New York-based quantitative global macro investment manager founded by Kim Bang in 2013. The core of the firm's trading strategy is the Prolific Swiss System (PSS) which was created by Niels Bang. Its principal purpose was to hedge shipping freight rates using futures contracts trading on the London and Baltic International Freight Futures Exchange (BIFFEX). The firm now focuses on a global macro, short-term trading program designed to profit from the greater velocity of trading and increased liquidity brought upon by the electronification of the financial and commodity markets.
