Private Advisors was a hedge fund management firm and SEC-registered investment advisor. It was formed in January 1997 to provide investment services to institutions and high-net-worth individuals interested in alternative assets. The firm focused on the management of hedge fund and private equity fund of funds products, specializing in absolute return, long/short equity, distressed and private equity strategies. In June 2007, Private Advisors formed Private Advisors UK as a London-based subsidiary headed by Jens Bisgaard-Frantzen. Mr. Bisgaard-Frantzen was the former CEO and founder of ATP Private Equity Partners, an investment arm of ATP, Denmark’s largest institutional investor. Private Advisors merged with Gold Point Partners and Madison Capital to form Apogem Capital which is under the umbrella of New York Life Investments in 2022.
