Pretium Partners, LLC (the “Firm” or ""Pretium"") is a specialized alternative investment management firm focused on residential real estate, residential credit and corporate credit. The Firm was founded in 2012 to capitalize on secular investment and lending opportunities that arose after the Global Financial Crisis, which created structural changes, disruptions and inefficiencies within the economy, residential housing sector and mortgage finance markets. Pretium has built an integrated analytical and operational ecosystem within the U.S. residential housing, mortgage and corporate & structured credit. As of June 30, 2025, the Firm manages $60.43 billion of capital across its Residential Real Estate Equity ($31.90 billion), Residential Real Estate Debt ($3.63 billion), Residential Credit ($22 billion), Structured and Corporate Credit ($2.34 billion), and Legal Opportunities ($0.55 billion) strategies. Donald R. Mullen, Jr. is Pretium’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Mullen has over 30 years of experience building research-driven investment businesses, committing capital and managing risk. Prior to founding Pretium, Mr. Mullen was a partner at Goldman Sachs and the head of the Securities Division’s Global Credit and Mortgage business, as well as a member of the Management Committee, the Firmwide Risk Committee and chaired the Principal Investments Committee. Jonathan Pruzan and Stephen Scherr serve as Co-Presidents, working in partnership to oversee Pretium’s strategic and operational initiatives. Mr. Pruzan spent nearly 30 years at Morgan Stanley (1994-2023), most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President (2021-23). He was a member of the Firm's Operating, Management, and Risk Committees and the Morgan Stanley/MUFG Global Steering Committee. Previously he served as Chief Financial Officer from 2015 to 2021 as well as Head of Corporate Strategy from 2016 to 2021. Prior to becoming CFO, Mr. Pruzan spent 21 years in the Global Financial Institutions Group in Investment Banking, leading the group from 2010 to 2015. He started his career at PaineWebber in 1990. Mr. Scherr has more than 30 years of experience in financial services and consumer-facing businesses, including nearly three decades at Goldman Sachs, where he served as Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to 2021. During his time at Goldman, he also served as Chief Strategy Officer, was a long-standing member of the firm’s Management Committee, led the Firmwide Risk Committee for many years, and managed several of the firm’s businesses. Following his career at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Scherr was Chairman and CEO of the Hertz Corporation from 2022 to 2024.Read more ⏷
