Praesidium Investment Management

Established in 2003 by Kevin Oram and Peter Uddo, Praesidium Investment Management (Praesidium) is a New York-based hedge fund manager. As of December 2020, Praesidium manages approximately $2 billion in the Praesidium Strategic Opportunities Strategy on behalf of long-term investors, primarily consisting of prominent university endowments, foundations, family offices, and other institutional investors. The strategy is expressed in a concentrated, public equity portfolio (12-15 holdings) with a multi-year investment horizon. The firm employs a private equity approach to public market investing; it seeks deep engagement in each of its investments by using extensive, independent research to work constructively with management teams and boards to help create and unlock value. Idea generation is focused on high-quality yet under-followed and overlooked companies that trade at a discount to long-term intrinsic value, with an emphasis on enterprise software and other similarly powerful business models. The strategy is accessible through either a separately managed account or commingled funds.
