Pemberton

Pemberton is a European private credit manager established in 2013. It combines both asset management and banking expertise in a direct lending platform providing a range of financing solutions for borrowers and risk-reward options for investors. Legal & General Group Plc (“L&G”) became a 40% equity shareholder in Pemberton in August 2014; the remaining 60% of the firm is owned by senior management. Pemberton aims to provide financing for companies across their capital structures from short term working capital solutions through longer tenor, senior debt, first lien, second lien, unitranche and preferred debt. The Working Capital Strategy focuses on the short term capital requirements of corporates. Pemberton has segregated the types of risk originated into defined strategies which enables investors to allocate to a specific strategy and understand the capital requirements. Supported by the equity contribution from L&G, Pemberton has built a private debt platforms with c. 40 dedicated investment professionals, including 14 experienced and dedicated origination professionals across the seven key markets in Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Spain and The Netherlands) and a 12 person independent credit team with restructuring experience.Read more ⏷
