Ortelius Capital Partners, LLC is an alternative asset management group that specializes in U.S. long/short equity and event-driven managers. The company was founded in 2002 by Peter DeSorcy and H.R.H. Prince Pavlos, after spinning off from Ivory Capital Group, LLC. Ortelius is the successor management company to Ivory Fund Advisors, LLC. Ortelius focuses on performance attribution primarily from stock-picking abilities, or "alpha," rather than exposure to the marketplace or other macro-exogenous variables. The company combines a research-intensive, fundamental-based investment process with a risk management program. Its primary goal is to produce equity-like returns with bond-like volatility over a market cycle.
