ODDO BHF Group, a fund management firm, launched its private asset management activities in 2018 by acquiring ACG Private Equity. The Paris-based firm invested in its first buy-out programs in the late 1990s and has since expanded its geographic scope and areas of expertise. Leveraging ODDO BHF's expertise in corporate lending, a Private Debt platform was also set up in 2018. Based in Frankfurt, the investment team supplies tailored financing packages to mainly German SMEs. The private equity arm of the firm invests in private equity funds with private and institutional clients. Oddo BHF Private Assets raises venture funds that invest in companies active in clean technology within the European Union. Its growth and small buy-out funds invest exclusively in SMEs based in France. The company also has a fund of funds that targets investments mainly in private equity funds but also co-investments in private equity companies. It will consider investments in the field of medical technology. Within its cleantech portfolio, Oddo has invested in and grown companies involved in air purification, wind power, odor diffusion, and several cross-over medical technology developers.
