Merian Global Investors

Merian Global Investors (MGI) was a London-based private investment management firm. Until an acquisition from TA Associates in 2018, the firm was previously called Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI). This was formed in Q1 of 2012 and combined Skandia Investment Group’s (SIG) multi-manager knowledge with Old Mutual Asset Managers’ (OMAM) direct investment experience. That merger brought together the two UK asset management firms with complementary approaches into a single unit, well-positioned to meet the needs of distributors and customers alike. OMAM was originally established in the UK in 1994 under the name Minkgrove Limited and subsequently changed its name to Old Mutual International Asset Manager (UK) Limited later the same year before becoming OMAM in March 1997. Old Mutual Plc acquired Skandia Group in February 2006. A year later, in October 2007 SIG was created by subsidiaries of Skandia Group. OMGI (UK) is a private limited company incorporated in the United Kingdom. In Q3 of 2020, Merian Global Investors was acquired by Jupiter Asset Management.Read more ⏷
