Founded in Q3 of 2016, Masa Capital is a New York-based hedge fund manager founded by former RBC managing director, Eric Tavel. It started with initial backing from Schonfeld Strategic Advisors of $100 million. Its investment approach is similar to that of the operations Tavel led when at RBC and it employs computerized strategies to invest in stocks, futures, and currencies.
