Founded by Pedro Guerra, former vice-president of ANBIMA, Logos Capital ("Logos") is a hedge fund manager located in São Paulo, Brazil. Its CIO and CEO, Luiz Guerra and Ricardo Viera, worked previously together at AZ Quest and founded Indie Capital in 2011. Logos focuses on providing returns uncorrelated to broad market movements and indexes, through total return and long bias strategies. The firm's specialty is to trade equity markets, utilizing a combination of bottom-up and top-down analysis; however sporadic positions in other asset classes (interest rates, commodities and FX) may be implemented for the purposes of hedging as well as alpha generation. Its investment process is based on valuations of companies and identification of asymmetries between market prices and intrinsic values, resulting both on directional and relative value positions. Investments outside of Brazil are implemented through the firm's internal offshore vehicle as well as BDRs (Brazilian Depository Receipts).
