Kiwoom Asset Management

Kiwoom Asset Management is a Seoul-based investment management firm established in March 1988 as Lucky Investment Consulting. The firm changed its name to Woori Asset Management from a merger with Woori Investment Trust in 2005 and in December 2014, the merger of Woori Asset Management and Kiwoom Asset management brought about the current entity. Currently, the firm is the member of the Daou Kiwoom Group. Kiwoom Asset Management provides indirect investment management services, consulting services and other ancillary services primarily to institutions in South Korea. For real estate, it employs core and value-added strategies towards a wide range of assets, namely residential, office, data centres and hotel properties located in South Korea as well as overseas, including Germany and the US. The firm also focuses on private equity investments. For infrastructure, the firm's investment focus is primarily on overseas IPP, infrastructure assets and natural resources related to the steel and power industry, currently expanding to other industries. The firm also manages three hedge fund vehicles at the present.
